Expanding Care for Children with Lyme Disease

When a child gets diagnosed with Lyme disease everything changes.

The journey can be overwhelming, isolating and financially draining. We are here to provide support, resources, and assistance to families with children affected by tick-borne illness in Florida.

Florida Lyme Alliance was founded by Ella Weinlick, an 18-year old aspiring medical student who has battled Lyme disease since the age of eight. Her personal experience inspired her to create an organization dedicated to supporting children and raising awareness about Lyme disease in Florida. The organization’s mission is to provide education, resources, and financial support to children affected by Lyme Disease in Florida.

Because insurance coverage can be limited or inconsistent, many patients face overwhelming costs. Many children are unable to receive Lyme treatment, we are working to change that!
